Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Edwardsburg, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: Contract 1.1 miles of path along Elkhart Road in Edwardsburg, MI including tree removals, grading, concrete sidewalk, replacement of existing hydrants, storm sewer installation, driveway replacements, and various appurtenances. Please note that the Cass County Road Commission will be handling HMA pavement work for this project, awarded contractor will be required to coordinate with them on construction operations. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged. Project Review :- Project consists of construction a pedestrian trail along the side of Elkhart Road within the existing ROW The path will be a 6 ft sidewalk through the Village, widening to a 8 ft HMA path in the Township Some temporary grading easements will be required to help facilitate drainage and are being handled by the County Drainage swales are intended to be minimal and to facilitate water getting off the road and trail (not deep ditches) The CCRC will be doing the paving work on this project for HMA. Coordination is required. There is a bid alternate for Aggregate Base work Utility relocations are ongoing for AEP and Frontier and expected to be completed by Sept 25th Work Begins Sept 8, 2025; Substantial Completion October 24, 2025; Completion of Punchlist Work 2 Weeks After Sub. Completion
