The Beaufort County School District ("Owner," 'District") is pleased to invite qualified firms to submit proposals in response to this Request for Proposals ("RFQ"). The scope of this work will focus on District additions, renovations and modification projects. Projects may also include tasks identified in the current 5-Year Capital Plan, 5-Year Capital Plan from previous budget years, projects identified in the November 7, 2023 referendum, as well as other new projects identified and approved during the contract term. The Owner may, at its option, award this contract to one or multiple firms based on the volume of work and the submittals. It is anticipated that this work will be awarded to a minimum of 3 with a maximum of 4 firms. Each selected firm should be prepared to complete $1-$10 million in work per year. Projects will be constructed during the summer. In addition to summers, successful firms should expect to work throughout the year to include scheduled breaks, nights, and weekends. Design and construction schedules will be aggressive requiring a highly responsive design team throughout the project. The owner may, at its option, elect to extend this contract for an additional year to include similar projects. Typical project scope may include but is not limited to: Building additions or renovations Interior finish replacement Restroom renovations ADA and code upgrades Life safety and building security upgrades Site upgrades or modifications Energy efficiency upgrades HVAC, Plumbing and Food Services replacements and/or upgrades Electrical upgrades Track and Tennis Court Replacements or resurfacing Technology infrastructure upgrades Camera system replacement Athletic and playground improvements Sound system replacement Intercom system replacement
