In general, this work consists of: Removal of existing 24-inch sanitary sewer lines and installation of new 24-inch and 36-inch gravity sanitary sewer lines by open-cut. Removal of existing sanitary sewer manholes. Installation of 60-inch and 72-inch pre-cast concrete watertight corrosion resistant sanitary sewer manholes with vents. Installation of 84-inch pre-cast concrete watertight corrosion resistant sanitary sewer junction box with a 48 knockout, including connection to existing 24-inch sanitary sewer line. Installation of 10-inch, 12-inch, and 18-inch AWWA C-900 PVC sanitary sewer force main, for depths, including restrained joints, bends, fittings, plug valves with boxes, quick disconnect assembly as shown in the plans, and wet connections to existing force main. Hydrostatic testing shall be completed by contractor. Line stop valves are to be used as directed by Engineer to minimize disruption in the event certain line segments prove difficult to isolate. Abandonment of existing force mains. Temporary bypass pumping for force main and sewer installation to provide continuous sewer service during construction. Implementation of dewatering systems for control of groundwater, using recommendations noted in the geotechnical report. Implementation of trench safety system. Site restoration including replacement of damaged turf, plants, shrubs, trees, fences, pavement, sidewalks, or other miscellaneous items.
