Installation of a roof-mounted solar photovoltaic system 2. Creation and installation of a user-friendly energy dashboard 3. Creation and installation of an on-site display board The city will not consider bids that do not comply with Royal Oak Ordinance 2022-07, Responsible Contractor Ordinance SCOPE OF WORK This is not a design-build project. The City has completed system design and engineering through Nova Consulting Group, Inc. See attachments for project specifications and applicable exhibits or plans. Contractors are expected to provide all labor, materials, equipment procurement, permitting, installation, testing, and commissioning services required to deliver a fully operational system in accordance with the provided design documents. 3.1. Project Specifications and Plans (see attachments) a. Design & Engineering o Technical specifications and stamped electrical engineering documents prepared by Nova Consulting. o Coordinate with city facilities and library staff to preserve roof warranties. b. Permitting & Utility Coordination o Secure all required building, zoning, plumbing/electrical permits. o Coordinate with the local utility for interconnection and net metering agreement. c. Procurement & Equipment o Solar panels, racking system (ballasted or penetrative, as shown in tech docs), inverters, disconnects, wiring, conduit, and mounting. o Public facing energy dashboard hardware/software and physical educational display board (see e. for details)Installation & Commissioning o Provide all labor and materials for turnkey installation. o Manage roof penetrations if applicable, coordinating with the roofing contractor to maintain roof integrity
