Community Planning Services to Support Complete Streets Design (Community Planning Series 0020) In accordance with Section 103D-304, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization hereby provides public notice to invite persons engaged in the professional services listed below to submit current statements of qualifications and expressions of interest for the fiscal year 2026 (July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026) Description: The Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization (Maui MPO) anticipates the need for professional services that can inform the design of projects listed on the Transportation Improvement Program. These services include: 1. Data Collection: Types of activities include field visits to document existing conditions and identify potential areas of concern for pedestrian, bicyclist, and motor vehicle users; studying adjacent land uses to project sites; identifying existing and potential multimodal uses of the project area; and recommending activities that can positively impact pedestrian, bus, and bike use in the area. 2. Public Engagement: consultation with residents and property owners along project corridors; outreach with relevant stakeholders; and public meetings to present findings and receive feedback on design concepts. 3. Coordination with staff at the Maui MPO, County of Maui, and State of Hawaii. Additional Criteria: In addition to relevant resume information, interested parties shall include the following information in their submittal: a. Experience conducting community planning and transportation planning in the County of Maui. Estimated Cost: $350,000 Estimated Contract Time: One year from Notice to Proceed, with continuation options for three more years.
