Renovation of a military facility in Maynard, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) / Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires the replacement of the MA MERS SCIF door and associated hardware at the FEMA, MERS, VSAB, Building B. The existing entrance door contains legacy hardware and does not meet the standards for "Open Storage" as defined in the Technical Specifications for Construction and Management of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities, Version 1.5 (IC Tech Spec - for ICD/ICS 705). The scope of work includes removing the non-compliant door and installing a new door and hardware that meet current specifications. Location: 65 Old Marlboro Road, Maynard, MA 01754. Period of Performance: 09/15/2025 to 01/13/2026 In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $25,000 and $100,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Contractor will remove current SCIF Door and make the necessary repairs to the surrounding wall structure to ensure proper installation of replacement door. Contractor shall install one Lockmasters Metal 3070 STC-55 Door, frame, and hardware package. Including one combination lock meeting Federal Specification FF-L 2740 and one GSA-approved pedestrian door deadbolt meeting Federal Specification FF-L 2890. Dimensions of door 35" 1/2 x 83" 1/2 .
