The city has identified an immediate need to resurface the parking lot of the new movie theater in town, the address is 217 S. Michigan Ave. The city has recently taken over ownership of the parking lot and would like to have the existing parking lot crushed, pulverized, compacted, and reshaped with a 2 overlay. Assess the asphalt and its current layout. 2. Pulverize the existing parking lot 3. Grade off 3" of old material to be removed and kept by contractor, water to fall properly to storm collection system. 4. Compact the parking lot thoroughly. 5. Pave 3" of new bituminous pavement over the properly compacted and pulverized material. 6. Contractor to pave between existing concrete walks and the east alley. 7. Pavement markings will be needed at the end of the paving operations for parking spaces. We will use the same layout as what is out there currently.
