The City of Tampa Wastewater Department desires to obtain Professional Engineering services to update the Master Plan for the Howard F. Curren Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant Background: Howard F. Curren AWTP is permitted to treat 96-MGD with a Type I two-stage, high rate (pure oxygen and fine bubble aeration) activated sludge biological nitrification/denitrification domestic wastewater treatment plant. This plant is operated to discharge advanced wastewater treated, high-level disinfected and de-chlorinated effluent to Hillsborough Bay. Currently annual average daily flows are 60 MGD and peak flows of 200 MGD. The Department has identified the need to update this plan and the list of capital improvements needed to improve the reliability, resiliency, and continued operation of the treatment plant. It is not the City's intent to perform a complete reevaluation of the treatment plant. All Prospective Bidders/respondents Are Hereby Cautioned Not to Contact Any Member of the City of Tampa Staff or Officials Other Than the Specified Contact Person. Woman-Owned/Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (WMBE) and Small/Local Business Enterprises (SLBE) are encouraged to participate in the bid process. The City of Tampa has a managed Small and Local Busineess program to certify both its woman-owned, minority-owned, and small business vendors. Please be advised that even if you have a self declared attribute on the Demandstar system, your firm must complete the City of Tampa certification process in order to take advantage of the program benefits in City bidding opportunities.
