The Madera County Flood Control and Water Conservation Agency held a mandatory pre-bid conference for this contract on Monday August 25th, 2025, at 10 AM on the north levee at Unit 1, Station 107+00 west of the Road 8 bridge (37.064995_, -120.401457_). Only attendees of that meeting will be allowed to bid on this project. Question Deadline 09/10/2025 at 5:00 PM PT Technical questions should be directed through the online. Submit hardcopy bid bonds in a sealed envelope addressed to Kevin Sischo at 200 W. 4th Street, Suite 3100, Madera CA 93637 labeled with the name of the bidder, the name of the project, and "Do Not Open Until Bid Opening - BID BOND". The work to be done consists of levee crown subgrade preparation, including necessary clearing and grubbing, scarifying and compacting approximately 14 miles of existing levee subgrade, and placing and compacting a 4" layer of _" Class II aggregate base (approx. 18,300 tons) on NA0011 levee units 1-6 on the left and right banks of Ash Slough, Berenda Slough, and Fresno River within Madera County as shown on the Plans and in accordance with the 2023 State Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.
