THE METROPOLITAN NASHVILLE AIRPORT AUTHORITY (MNAA) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from engineering firms with experience in the design of navigational aids for JWN PRECISION APPROACH PATH INDICATOR (PAPI) at the John C. Tune Airport, Nashville, Tennessee. There is No Disadvantaged Business Goal established for this Contract The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The project shall consist of the Engineering and Design of: 1) All preliminary design and survey work associated with the placement and appropriate aiming of a PAPI system at both the R/W 2 end and R/W 20 end of the John C. Tune Airport. 2) Survey work will include all aerial and ground survey necessary to locate the PAPI system and ensure that they can be operated safely, in accordance with FAA and TDOT regulations. The Engineering and Design of all projects shall include compliance with FAA Advisory Circular 150/5340-30J – Design and Installation Details for Airport Visual Aids. Existing PAPI systems will be replaced with most current FAA-approved PAPI equipment. The selected consultant will provide aerial and topographical survey, design, bid phase services, and construction administrative services. Design will be completed on schedule to advertise bid documents in February 2026.
