The Lonsdale Energy is requesting your response to this Request for Proposal for construction services at Energy Centre 7: Main Heat Exchanger Replacement at Energy Centre 7, at 61 Bewicke Ave, North Vancouver. Energy Centre 7 (EC7) was constructed in 2012 and has been in continuous operation for over 12 years. While EC7 is generally in good condition, the gaskets of the Main Heat Exchanger have become brittle and lost their elasticity over time, resulting in persistent leaks. Additionally, a missing strainer on the cold side has led to contamination and reduced performance. Replacing the entire plate pack of the original heat exchanger model (Armstrong S-96X) could be considered, but this option may not be feasible.
