Project Description: In general, the work will include furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the replacement of the Township's existing 6" ACP water main along Glenside Drive and Kennedy Drive, as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work for the afore mentioned water main replacement will include installation of approximately2,365 LF of 6" Ductile Iron water main, approximately 25 LF of 8" diameter Ductile Iron water main, reconnection of approximately thirty-two (32) service connections,abandonment in place of 6" ACP water main to be filled with flowable fill, installation of insertion valves, gate valves, hydrants, fittings, thrust blocks, site work including curbing,driveway, driveway apron and decorative stone restoration, landscaping, and general site restoration, all as shown on the drawings and specified herein. Each Bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed$20,000.00 to insure signing of the contract.Bidder shall submit with a bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, stating that it will provide the Contractor with a Performance Bond of the total bid price. No Bids shall be accepted by the Township of Mount Olive after the above designated date and time. The Bid package must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Township of Mount Olive, Municipal Building, PO Box 450, 204 Flanders-Drakestown Road, Budd Lake, New Jersey 07828, Attn: Robyn Esposito, QPA;bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and clearly marked Bid #5-2025 - Glenside Drive & Kennedy Drive Water Main Replacement. The Township reserves the right to waive minor defects and informalities in any Bid and to reject any and all Bids, or to accept Bids that are, in the opinion of the Township, in the best interest of the Township. Question Deadline 09/05/2025 No oral interpretation or clarification of the meaning of the specifications for any goods and services will be made to any bidder. Such request shall be in writing, addressed to the Engineer. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids for goods and services.
