Kentucky State University is soliciting bids for the purchase and installation of a solar energy system at the Aquaculture Research Center's Production Technologies Building. The awarded vendor shall provide a complete, turn-key installation of a solar photovoltaic system, including but not limited to: o Site evaluation and system design o Provision and delivery of all necessary equipment and materials o Installation of a solar photovoltaic system o Integration with the building's electrical system o All required permitting, inspections, and interconnection with the utility provider o System testing and commissioning o Provision of system documentation and training for KSU personnel The solar energy system shall support research and operational functions within the Production Technologies Building, which is a 11,000-square-foot advanced indoor aquaculture facility. This includes a 7,500-square-foot wet lab dedicated to replicated recirculating systems used for aquaculture research. Kentucky State University is giving flexibility to the contractor to use the equipment needed to reach the target output of the solar system. All work must be performed by a State licensed electrical engineer or state certified electrician.
