The Franklin County Fiscal Court is requesting sealed bids for the purchase and complete installation of one (1) 48 kW natural gas standby generator with automatic transfer switch on existing concrete pad (bidders who determine the existing concrete pad is not sufficient shall include the cost of a new concrete pad), AND all bids shall also include the cost to disconnect and remove the existing generator from the concrete pad. The generator project will be located at 975 Chenault Road, Frankfort, KY 40601. A General Contractor's lump sum bid is required for the project. No Bid Bond is required. All questions from Bidders shall be submitted in writing by 2:00 p.m. on August 29, 2025 to the Franklin County Fire Department, 106 Darby Shire Circle, Frankfort, KY 40601, ATTN: Brian Brewer or e-mailed to brian.brewer@franklincounty.ky.gov. The County, at its discretion, and unless otherwise prohibited by law, may provide a 5% price advantage to Local Qualified Vendors. Local Qualified Vendors are those vendors who: have their principal place of business located in Franklin County, Kentucky, and who are licensed and in good standing with all local, state and federal licensing requirements. Such qualified vendors submitting bids which are 5% or less higher than other competing bids may be considered low bids. The Franklin County Fiscal Court may consider informal any bid not prepared and submitted in accordance with the provisions of this advertisement and/or the specifications and reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and all bids. Award of a single contract will be made to the best, lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. Franklin County reserves the right to reject any bid for any reason.
