Sealed bids will be accepted by Los Angeles County Public Works, Project Management Division III, for the upgrade of traffic signal equipment, pedestrian enhancements, and various other intersection safety improvements, and the performance of other appurtenant work under Project ID No. TSM0010254, El Segundo Boulevard Traffic Signal Synchronization Program - Illinois Street to Vermont Avenue, in the Cities of El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, and Los Angeles, and in the unincorporated communities of Del Aire and Wiseburn. For all contracts, other than Federally-funded contracts, the County encourages the participation of Community Business Enterprises (CBE) in the project and has established a goal of twentyfive percent (25%) CBE participation which all contractors must aspire to meet. Implement traffic signal improvements including providing and installation of signals, lighting standards, poles, mast arms, vehicle and pedestrian heads, vehicle and pedestrian detection, and / or other traffic signal related equipment. Traffic Signal Synchronization Program - 2 intersections along El Segundo Boulevard at Shoup Avenue and at Budlong Avenue. The work shall be done in accordance with the Plans and Specifications on file and open for inspection at Public Works. The work is estimated to cost between $245,000 and $365,000 and shall be completed in 35 working days.
