The work consists of milling and paving of various roads throughout the Village as described in the bid document. The project also includes asphalt curbing and utility adjustments. All technical requirements and specifications are described within the Contract Documents and Plans. Bidders on the Contract are encouraged to inspect the existing conditions and proposed improvements prior to submitting the sealed proposal in accordance with this Advertisement for Bids. This bid is for milling and furnish and placement of 2" top course bituminous pavement installation along the following Village Roads: Campbell Avenue o Smith Hill Road o Christmas Hill Road-North end to Echo o Laura Lane o Provost Drive o East Blossom Road o Rhonda Lane o Adams Lane o Van Gogh o Stillo Drive o Vermeer Court o Madison Hill Road o Donald Court 1. The maintenance and protection of traffic and pedestrians for the duration of the project. No roads are to be closed during operations, one lane of traffic is to be maintained. 2. Milling of the top 2" of pavement and milling removal. 3. Application of Tack Coat. 4. Furnish and installation of new 2" top course pavement, Type 6F2. 5. Adjustment of any valves, catch basins and manhole rims to meet final grade. 6. Restriping of roads as necessary for double yellow lines, crosswalks, white lines,etc. 7. Installation of 4" asphalt curbing as directed by the Village. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to the Village of Airmont as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor, Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract.
