Site work for a mixed-use development in Spring City, Tennessee. Conceptual plans call for site work for a power facility; and military facility.

The work effort centers around the construction of a new, permanent access ramp at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant to facilitate the loading and unloading of critical equipment and materials transported via barge on the Tennessee River. The ramp will be designed to withstand maximum anticipated loads from historical deliveries and future removal operations, specifically for approach wall beams intended for the new Chickamauga Lock. The ramp will connect to the existing laydown yard and extend toward the river channel, transitioning to the channel bed using crushed stone fill on a 3:1 slope. The project includes earthwork activities such as cutting and filling, placement of riprap for shoreline protection, and integration with existing infrastructure. Site features like overhead power lines, drainage systems, fencing, and signage will be protected, relocated, or removed as needed. New mooring bollards will be constructed, and existing riprap will remain in place except within the ramp width. The scope also includes removal and incorporation of existing storm drain piping into a new drainage plan. Location: Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, 6868 Watts Bar Hwy, Spring City, TN 37381. Period of Performance: The Contractor shall complete all work within 365 days after award. Disclosure of the Magnitude of the Proposed Construction Project: June 2026 Estimated Total Cost: $2.5 million to $4.5 million The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
