Site work and new construction of a clubhouse / community center in Fremont, California. Working plans call for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
The estimated cost of construction for the Project is $35 to $40 million. It is anticipated that the Project will be advertised and invitations to bid will be made available to Contractors on the Qualified Bidders list for the Project in November 2025. Bid opening is anticipated to occur in December 2025. Contract Award is anticipated in January 2025, with a 20 to 24 month Project construction duration. Project schedule is subject to change. Contractors are advised to carefully review the following project description and requirements of the Project prior to submitting a Prequalification Application. Project exhibits are included in Attachment 1 of this RFQ. The Project is located at the southeast corner of City of Fremont's Central Park, near the intersection of Paseo Padre Parkway and Stevenson Boulevard. The proposed project includes a new Community Center building, adjacent outdoor spaces including an outdoor living room, circulation/access improvements, approximately 218 parking spaces, an event hall and an adjacent event hall patio. The work will include furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the Project. The Project will be owned and maintained by the City of Fremont and is being designed by Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. in conformance with applicable local, State, and Federal codes and standards. Construction will be managed by Kitchell Construction on behalf of the City of Fremont. Reference Number 0000395729 Notice is hereby given that the City of Fremont ("City") is now soliciting prequalification applications from General Contractors with construction expertise in municipal/civic facilities projects for the construction of the City's Central Park Community Center ("Project"). All Contractors who intend to bid on the Project must submit a complete prequalification application and provide all materials requested herein, and be approved by the City to be on the final Qualified Bidders list. No bid will be accepted from a Contractor that is not on the Qualified Bidders list. General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required - Contractors License Required Question Deadline 08/22/2025 at 2:00 PM PT Questions are submitted online Yes . Questions or requests for information must be submitted to City in writing through online , No late requests for information will be accepted. City will post all responses to questions online . The City reserves the right to suspend, abandon, or cancel the prequalification process or to reject any and all responses and prequalification submittals, or parts thereof, and to waive any technicalities or minor informalities if it determines, in its sole discretion, that such cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the City. The City is not responsible or liable for any costs incurred by Applicants related to the Prequalification Application or the cancellation of the process. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
