Project Information. 2.1 Location and Description. The Project is located at the southeast corner of City of Fremont's Central Park, near the intersection of Paseo Padre Parkway and Stevenson Boulevard. The proposed project includes a new Community Center building, adjacent outdoor spaces including an outdoor living room, circulation/access improvements, approximately 218 parking spaces, an event hall and an adjacent event hall patio. The work will include furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the Project. The Community center and outdoor living room includes: a flexible fitness and dance room; flexible program rooms for arts, crafts, enrichment and STEM learning, and exterior patios for expanding programs outdoors as well as staff and support spaces. Site work preparation includes demolition of the existing Teen Center, grading, and providing site utility services (power, water, and sewer). Site improvements include upgrading and expanding the existing Teen Center parking lot from 125 to 218 spaces, providing a landscaped circular entryway, creating a new access to Paseo Padre Parkway, constructing patios and creating an Outdoor Living Room with shade features that supports outside social and gathering spaces between the Community Center and future Gymnasium. Food, beverage and snack services for the Community Center lobby and Outdoor Living Room will be accommodated with provisions for mobile coffee/snack cart and food trucks with electrical power hook ups. The event space supports an indoor seated table capacity for 400 people, with a separate events wing entry lobby and pre-function space, and a commercial kitchen. The event hall spaces are supplemented with an outdoor patio with a freestanding canopy for an added table-seating capacity of 200 people and include an adjoining ceremonial lawn area. The Event Hall can be flexibly partitioned into three spaces to host multiple smaller events. The all-electric commercial kitchen is planned to support events for up to 600 people and can be used for cooking classes.
