Anticipated Award Date: August 27, 2025 Project Description Corral Gulch is an upper tributary of the South Fork of the Trinity River that is currently incised and degraded, with substantially lower and warmer flows in summer compared to historic conditions. The Corral Gulch Restoration Project will use the Stage 0 valley floor reset restoration approach to effectively reset hydromorphic processes within, and return floodplain connectivity to, 1.1 miles of Corral Gulch. The valley reset is achieved by excavating high ground material and transporting it to the incised channel so the full valley bottom is reset to stage 0 elevation. The total project area is 59.42 acres, but heavy equipment grading, wood placement, and other project activities related to this RFP will occur on approximately 25 acres within that larger project area.
