INTENT: The intent of this project is to inspect and repair damaged galvanized steel chainlink fencing and anti-intrusion barbed wire at the Buoy Yard on the Coast Guard Base in New Orleans, LA. All parts, installation, and repairs shall meet or exceed manufacturers specifications and industry standards. Upon completion, all fencing will provide a uniform barrier with functioning gates and continuous barbed wire topper. All work shall be completed by a licensed contractor with in-depth knowledge of commercial fence repair. All work shall be completed as outlined in this Scope of Work. No work is authorized without the authorization of the Contracting Officer (KO) or the Contracting Officers Representative (COR). 2. SCOPE OF WORK: Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, transportation, equipment, supervision, and personnel to replace or repair all fencing, gates, stanchions, barbed wire, and associated hardware surrounding the Buoy Yard. Evaluate existing fencing and all associated components for repair/replacement. b. Repair 1. Remove, and dispose of off-site, any existing fencing components requiring replacement. Replace with galvanized steel chain link fencing and all necessary components. 2. Repair existing components that are in disrepair that do not require replacement (i.e.-straightening vertical stanchions) to ensure that it is a uniform, seamless, fenced barrier with continuous barbed wire. 3. Service existing gates to ensure proper operation.
