Description of Bid: This contract is for the planting of twenty-seven (27) trees in spots designated by the City. Included in this work is the removal of any existing trees or stumps including rootballs, planting the trees to City specifications, adding soil amendments, guying of the trees and mulching of the planting areas. All plantings will require soil amendments. Trees planted in residential areas will require trunk guards to protect them from string trimmers. This guard can be in the form designed products made for this purpose or can be properly sized corrugated pipe install around the trunk. The contractor shall provide all trees, labor and materials to accomplish this project. The contractor shall also provide all necessary traffic control. If proper traffic control is not provided the project shall be suspended until such time as proper traffic control is provided. At a minimum the contractor shall provide work zone signs and some sites may require lane closures. The trees shall have a one-year warranty that starts at the time the installed tree is accepted by the City Arborist. The warranty shall not apply to trees that are vandalized or are damaged by vehicles. The City WILL NOT WATER the trees. Plantings are to occur during October or November 2025.
