Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Indian Trail, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This project consists of removing two existing 72-inch CMP culverts at Bow Brook Trail and Pioneer Lane. These two existing culverts will be replaced with precast concrete box culverts. A digital bid tab will be issued out to all online through email. It is highly recommended to use this digital bid tab for submitting your itemized bid. This will ensure that your bids will have no errors within them at the time of submitting. Each Bid must contain the following fully completed forms provided by the Town. The following shall be submitted for bid consideration: a) Acknowledgement of Addenda (page 10 of this Project Manual) b) Itemized Bid Form (page 11 of this Project Manual) c) MBE Forms (page 14 of this Project Manual) d) Representative Projects Form (page 19 of this Project Manual) e) Execution of Bid Form (page 20 of this Project Manual) f) Bid Bond (APPENDIX F of this Project Manual). All bids shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with the following requirements. Failure to comply with any requirement may cause the bid to be considered irregular and may be grounds for rejection of the bid. The bid form furnished by Town of Indian Trail with the proposal shall be used and shall not be altered in any manner. DO NOT SEPARATE THE BID FORM FROM THE PROPOSAL! If you are using the Electronic Version, replace the paper version with a copy of the electronic version. Return the entire proposal with your bid. If Town's issued Digital Bid Tab isn't used by perspective bidder, all entries on the itemized proposal sheet (bid form) shall be written in ink or typed. The Bidder shall submit a unit price for every item on the itemized proposal sheet (bid form). The unit prices for the various contract items shall be written in figures. Unit prices shall be rounded off by the Bidder to contain no more than FOUR decimal places. An amount bid shall be entered on the itemized proposal sheet (bid form) for every item. The amount bid for each item shall be determined by multiplying each unit bid by the quantity for that item and shall be written in figures in the "Amount" column of the form. The total amount bid shall be written in figures in the proper place on the bid form. The total amount bid shall be determined by adding the amounts bid for each item. Changes to any entry shall be made by marking through the entry in ink and making the correct entry adjacent thereto in ink. A representative of the Bidder shall initial the change in ink. Do not use correction fluid, correction tape or similar products to make corrections. The bid shall not contain any unauthorized additions, deletions, or conditional bids. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in the amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. When the bid security is in the form of a bid bond, that bid bond shall be executed by a corporate surety licensed in North Carolina to execute such bonds. Bid Bond forms are in the Appendix. All Bids shall be firm offers to contract for 60 days from the Bid Deadline. For questions regarding the Project or Instructions to Bidders, contact Brian Adlerstein at bga@indiantrail.org. The Town will attempt to answer all questions in writing by email. The Town will not make, and bidders may not rely on oral representations. Addenda will be emailed all persons who have the Contract Documents. The Bidder shall be responsible for inquiring if Addenda have been issued. No entity or person may submit or participate in the submission of more than one Bid. The Town will inform the Selected Bidder of its selection and request that the Selected Bidder submit the executed Agreement plus insurance certificates and payment and performance bonds. The Selected Bidder shall submit the requested documents so that they are received by the Town within 10 calendar days (or such other time as designated by Town) from the date of notice of selection. The contract shall not be deemed awarded and this Agreement shall not be binding on the Town unless and until both the Selected Bidder and Town have both executed the Agreement. Doc note: Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source. All payments are to be made to Duncan Parnell, via their bid room at online. If you need any assistance ordering or getting registered, please email constech@Duncan-Parnell.com. An MBE goal of 10% has been established for this contract. The established MBE goal is based on the sub-total of the estimated construction cost. The contingency amount is not considered.
