New Atlantic Contracting, Inc. in association with SCS Construction is seeking to prequalify 1st tier trade contractors to submit bids for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the Lockhart Elementary School Renovation and Addition project. New Atlantic Contracting, Inc. has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the project and will receive bids from and contract with the 1st tier trade contractors for the execution of the work. Small, minority, women, and disabled-owned business enterprises are encouraged to participate. The project includes renovation of the existing 40,000 SF elementary school and construction of a new 96,000 SF, 2 story, addition. Renovation includes selective demolition and complete MEPF systems and architectural finishes. New construction includes all standard scopes of work for an elementary school. Site development includes demolition of existing buildings, hardscapes, site furnishings, and utilities. New site development includes carpool and bus routes, play areas, hardscapes, site furnishings, landscaping, utilities, and storm water management. Lockhart is a year-round school and work will be phased accordingly. Anticipated Notice to Proceed - January, 2026 Bid Bonds will not be required for Bid Packages less than $500,000.00. Payment and performance bonds will not be required for Bid Packages less than $300,000.00. If submitting on multiple trade packages and the aggregate of the packages meets or exceeds $500,000, a Bid, Payment and Performance bond will be required for each trade package. The CM and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all Prequalification Submittals.
