Site work and paving for a civil project in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This project was financed in part by a grant from the Berks County Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road Program. Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing wage Act since the estimated construction costs of the project exceed $25,000 and because the project has received state grants that require the payment of PA prevailing wage and issuance of certified payrolls. All Requests for Information shall be submitted online via online by 12:00 pm on September 1st to allow time to post an addendum on online. No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Bechtelsville Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The project includes the reconstruction of a portion of Cherry Street in Bechtelsville Borough. In addition to the road work, the scope includes the replacement of existing stream crossings, and the installation of roadside swales to improve drainage. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough. QA: An elliptical pipe would be acceptable so long as the area of the opening is not smaller than the area of the arch pipe proposed.
