Renovation of a multi-residential development in Du Quoin, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
, Bid Guarantee, of the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a negotiable bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Perry County Housing Authority, U.S. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA will reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds acceptable to the Housing Authority all in accordance with Clause No. 10, Assurance of Completion, of the Instructions to Bidders. Doc note: Copies of the documents may be obtained at the office of the Architect by depositing a check with the Architect in the amount of $100.00 for each set of documents so obtained, made payable to the Perry County Housing Authority. Such deposit will be refunded to each bidder who returns the plans, specifications and other documents in good condition to the Housing Authority or to the Architect within fourteen (14) days after bid opening. Partial sets may be purchased at the cost of photocopying and shipping cost upon completion of a request for partial plans/specifications form and submitting to the Architect. Documents may also be downloaded from the Architect's website for bidding purposes only. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Question Deadline 09/11/2025 Any prospective bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, specifications, drawings, etc., must request it at least 7 days before the scheduled time for bid opening. Requests may be oral or written. Oral requests must be confirmed in writing a. IL-48-11/DuQuoin: 1) Replace all windows in scheduled units. Reframe bedroom and living room windows to make egress compliant. Remove existing brick veneer to enlarge openings for new windows as scheduled. Provide and install new brick rowlock sill for windows at brick locations. Patch existing interior gypsum board and paint at enlarged window locations. Install new vinyl siding and painted composite trim over existing wood siding. Install new weather barrier over existing siding. Paint existing exterior doors. Provide and install new address signs. Temporarily remove existing light fixtures and reinstall after installation of new siding with new fixture mounts. Replace and relocate electrical outlets and cable tv receptacles at window locations. Temporarily remove existing window unit air conditioners and reinstall after installation of new windows. Clean entire exterior of buildings.
