Our education mission focuses on creating a patient care environment, which is supportive of the educational programs of the UNMHSC health professional schools. Our research mission focuses on the application of new biomedical knowledge, translated to innovative patient care programs and models of health care delivery, leading to health status improvement for New Mexicans. UNMH will be the leader in improving New Mexico's health outcomes through our academic specialty programs and our community responsive, culturally competent, patient care, education, and clinical research programs. We aspire to be one of the nation's leading university hospitals, which captures the synergy in being both an excellent academic institution and an innovative, community oriented public teaching hospital. UNMH will set the standard for excellence in quality and patient safety in public teaching hospitals. Potential proposers are encouraged to submit written questions in advance of the conference. The identity of the organization submitting the question(s) will not be revealed. Additional written and oral questions may be submitted at the conference. All questions will be addressed at the conference. A public log will be kept of the names of potential proposers that attended the preproposal conference. A guided site visit will be provided after the conference. The University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) is soliciting proposals from General Contractors to provide construction services for all materials and services required to fulfil the scope of work for renovations. The purchase of materials and/or services awarded under this Request will be subject to the Terms and Conditions as well as all statements contained in this Request for Proposal. New Mexico criminal law prohibits bribes, gratuities and kickbacks (13-1-28 through 13-1-199, NMSA 1978). UNMH views utilization of local vendors, suppliers and contractors as good sustainable practice. As such, UNMH strongly encourages offerers to solicit and consider local New Mexico Business community members in preparing proposal offers. The Project Scope Includes the Renovation Within the 1st Floor of the Unm Sandoval Regional Medical Center, 3001 Broadmoor Blvd. Ne, Rio Rancho, Nm. The Scope Includes the Renovation of Existing Space to Accommodate the Installation of a New Spect Ct Scanner and All Associated Support Spaces. The Project Will Be Completed in Two Phases. The First Phase Will Be the Demolition and Renovation of Existing Spaces to Accommodate the New Spect Ct Scanner and Support Spaces. The Second Phase Will Be the Demolition and Renovation of the Existing Spaces to Accommodate Support Spaces to Include a Staff Lounge, Sub Waiting (Hot Waiting), and Clean Storage. The Renovation Will Include the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Medical Gas, Technology and Structural Systems to Accommodate the Placement of the New Spect Ct and Renovations to Remove the Existing Rooms in the Intended Location. The Scope Also Includes New Casework and Finishes and Accessories to Support the New Spaces. Lead Lined Walls and Specialized Lead Lined Cabinetry Are Also a Part of the Work. The Existing Building's Construction Type is 1a and the Occupancy in the Area of Work is I-2. All Work Will Be Completed in the Radiology Department of the Hospital. Patient Care Will Be on-going Throughout the Facility, Including the Radiology Department During the Work. Ocassional Work Stoppages May Occur Due to Disruptions of Patient Care. After Hours Work (Weekends and Evenings) is Anticipated. Typical Hospital Setting Construction Protocols Will Be Strictly Adhered to. These Include but Are Not Limited to Work Area Containment, Anti-room Inclusions, Air Cleansing, Negative Pressurization of the Work Space Including Monitoring of the Air Pressure, Tack Mats on Both Sides of the Access Doorway, Covered Debris Containers to Transport Waste Material, Etc. Any clarification of instructions, terms and conditions, insurance, bonds, or quote preparation shall be made only by the Buyer shown on this RFP. All clarification questions should be submitted through the Q&A Board. Clarifications must be in writing and answers posted on the Q&A Board are considered as part of this RFP Question Submission Close Date 9/5/2025 4:22 PM MDT
