MOORES STORE ROAD at BUSSEY CREEK CROSSING - The project consists of removing and disposing of existing culvert, dewatering, and diverting existing stream, and constructing a new reinforced class AA concrete double 7'x7'x45' Box Culvert. The project scope is shown on the plans/cross-sections/maps as prepared by Construction Materials Services, Inc. for each project as listed above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a surety issued bond or cashier's check made payable to Stewart County. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Stewart County as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope, containing a bid, must be plainly marked on the outside Stewart County Moores Store Road Culvert Replacement GTIB Project. The OWNER of the project is Stewart County. The ENGINEER for the project is Andrew Johnson, PE of Construction Materials Services, Inc. If the bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address given above. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time and date set for closing, except as allowed by O.C.G.A. Stewart County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities.
