A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Salina PSP Flowmeter Replacement Project Question Deadline 12/16/2025 at 2:00 PM CT After installation of equipment supplied under the contract, field performance tests were conducted on pump generator units at Salina P-G Plant in 1989 and 1991. The purposes of the tests were to determine: 1) the best operation points of the units over a range of heads, 2) the most economic dispatch of the units and 3) future rehabilitation requirements. Concurrent with the efficiency testing, cavitation acoustic emission tests were also performed on units 1, 2, 4 and 5. Information obtained during the field test program can be used to define the best operating point for each unit by taking into account the performance and acoustic emission characteristics of the units at Salina. A. This specification defines the requirements by the Owner for the replacement of the existing ultrasonic flowmeter system installed in Units 5 and 6 at the Salina Pumped Storage Facility with a modern ultrasonic flowmeter system, that allows flow measurement accuracy suitable to perform absolute efficiency test per IEC/PTC standards. The scope includes all parts, materials, equipment and labor to install new sensors, make connections to Contractor flowmeter cabinets located at the 'dog house(s)' on each unit's penstock (as shown in the Compilation of Site Photos), commission, and test equipment. The same scope of services is included as an optional bid item for Units 1-4, executed at the discretion of the Owner.
