The time for performance of this Contract shall begin from the date of the Notice to Proceed or as otherwise directed by Calvert County Government and shall be completed within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. Question Deadline 10/06/2025 at 2:30 PM ET All Questions Shall Be Submitted in Writing to the Procurement Office at Andrew.monahan@calvertcountymd.gov. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Project includes the installation of approximately 800 linear feet of 12-inch water main, including a directional drill of Route 2/4, with all associated appurtenances and tie-ins to the existing system. AREA OF WORK The work area shall consist of work within areas adjacent to Route 2/4, near the intersection of Auto Drive as indicated on the Contract Documents. A. MOBILIZATION (Bid Item A-1) 1. This item of work consists of bonding costs, mobilizing equipment, establishing staging areas and demobilizing from the project site 2. Payment for mobilization shall be made at the lump sum price bid. The lump sum price bid in the proposal shall be limited to five (5) percent of the total Project bid. In addition, the maximum amount of the lump sum prices bid that is requested on Invoice No. 1 shall not exceed Sixty (60) percent of the lump sum price bid, with the remaining 40% allowed for demobilization on the final invoice B. MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC (Bid Item A-2) 3. Maintenance of Traffic shall not be measured, but shall be paid for at the Contract lump sum price bid. The payment shall be for full compensation for relocating, turning, completely covering and uncovering or removing and resetting, maintaining in like new condition and cleaning all existing and temporary traffic signs, and any other traffic control devices. Also included shall be all labor and materials for providing flagging operations as required for the fulfillment of the Contract requirements and implementation of the all maintenance of traffic and for all material, labor, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. 4. Payment of the Contract lump sum price shall be prorated and paid in equal amounts on each monthly estimate. The number of months used for prorating shall be the number estimated to complete the work.
