Playground Improvements at Christian, Virginia Lee O'Brien, and WISH Parks The Work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following: Remove and dispose of all existing playground equipment, mulch, playground rule signs, benches, trash cans, timber bordering and timber retaining walls around the playground equipment unless noted otherwise in contract documents. Remove existing trees as indicated in the plans. Saw cut and remove existing sidewalks, concrete pavement and curbs as indicated in the plans. Install new owner-provided playground equipment, curb bordering, new PIP play surfaces, new trash cans, benches, and other site furnishings per the contract documents. Provide and install all temporary enclosures, fencing and roadways as indicated in the plans. If alternates are accepted provide all the work described above and all work indicated in the plans. The following work items are included in the Contract Documents: Site Preparation, Demolition, Grading and Drainage, Site Furnishings, Tree Protection, Landscape, Concrete Work, Asphalt Paving, Poured-in-Place Rubber Surfacing, Hard Court Surfacing, Subgrade Preparation, and Subbase Construction, and other items as listed in the Table of Contents of these specifications or as shown per the Contract Drawings for playground improvements at the following locations: 1. Virginia Lee OíBrien Park: 2300 N Bolton Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46218 The materials and installation methods specified herein are to be considered standard for all work ordered by and performed for the Owner in the construction of the Work within the parks. A Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond will also be required of the successful Bidder. Copies of such Drawings and Project Manuals will be available for pick-up or delivery through the online plan room operated by Repro Graphix at online. Planroom registration is free. This Work will be funded by theCity of Indianapolis. The participation goal for Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) for this contract is fifteen percent (15%). The participation goal for Women Business Enterprise (WBE) for this contract is eight percent (8%). The participation goal for Veteran Business Enterprise (VBE) is three percent (3%). The participation goal for Disability-owned Business Enterprise (DOBE) is one percent (1%).
