The work shall consist of sawing or forming and sealing each full depth formed joint as shown in the plans and at each location shown in the plans. The work shall include furnishing all labor and equipment necessary to prepare the recess in accordance with this specification and to furnish and install the backer rod and silicone sealant in strict accordance with the manufacturers instructions The following is a general description of the work to be done under this Contract. The New York State Thruway Authority will rehabilitate the existing Route 7 Bridge over the Thruway (Interstate I-90), located in Albany Division, at MP 158.54 in Schenectady County, New York. The project work will consist of deck replacement. Additional work to be performed will include conversion to jointless bridge details, installation of three-rail bridge rail, bearing replacement, substructure repairs, cleaning and painting of the existing primary members, steel repairs to primary members, approach slab reconstruction, and bridge rail transition upgrades. A Bid Deposit must be a certified check or cashiers check made payable to the New York State Thruway Authority in the amount of $200,000.00.
