Description of Work: The proposed construction consists of: a. Existing Franklin Street Pump Station (on the treatment plant site): New electrical, controls, and HVAC. b. Existing Aerated Grit and Pre-Aeration Chamber: Mechanical cylindrical bar screen replacement, new fiberglass enclosure. c. New biological nutrient removal treatment system (AeroMod): Cast-in-place concrete tanks containing the AeroMod System's bio-P fermenter, bio-P selector, first and second stage aeration tanks, clarifiers, digesters, and AeroMod equipment, piping, and ancillary equipment. d. New Sludge Dewatering Building: Masonry building housing sludge dewatering equipment (screw presses), polymer solution makeup and injection system, sludge pumping, sludge grinder, sludge conveying equipment, electrical room serving as the Main Electrical Service Entrance and distribution center, and bathroom. e. New Blower Building: Metal sided, metal framed building housing aeration blowers, air compressors and dryer, 10" - 18" SS piping, and electrical room. f. Existing Pump & Blower Building (re-named Pump & Chem Feed Building): Demolition of existing pumps and blowers, abandonment of RAS/WAS T-valve box, replacement of NPW pumps/piping, relocation of Stormwater/Scum Pumps/piping, addition of chemical phosphorous removal system, and new electrical room. g. Existing concrete Chlorine Contact Tanks: Replacement of the scum piping assembly, repainting of structure. h. Existing Maintenance Garage: Electrical improvements. i. Site Work: Yard piping, electrical distribution, grading, paving, and landscaping. j. Existing process tanks to be taken out of service - Contact and Reaeration Chambers, Distribution Box, Final Clarifiers, and Aerobic Digester: draining, emptying, cleaning, pipe/valve removal, and plugging holes. k. And other miscellaneous items of work
