Renovation of a military facility in Kingshill, Virgin Islands. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
From 01 Sep 2025 to 31 Oct 2025 Fire Alarm Upgrade for the Virgin Islands National Guard Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS). The contractor shall furnish all materials, tools, supplies, equipment, labor and professional supervision required to replace/upgrade the fire alarm system at the Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS). Work shall include the removal and disposal of the existing fire alarm panel, pull stations, and smoke detectors. Work shall also include the installation of new pull stations, smoke detectors, and alarm panel complete with annunciator. The objective is to furnish the building with a fully functional fire alarm system that meets the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the International Building Code (IBC). The system shall be zoned to easily identify troubled areas. The fire alarm system at the CSMS was installed several years ago and has not been upgraded to reflect the changes in code requirements. The system must be upgraded to meet current requirements while providing for a safe environment.
