Construction, Maintenance, Support and Repair Services Sub Commodity/Service Description: General Repair Services Question Deadline 09/12/2025 at 3:00 PM CT HABD is seeking the services of Contractor(s) who will provide all labor, equipment, and materials to complete "general building repairs." Contractors must provide proof of all related expenses, including material costs. HABD will use a task order system for its residential and administrative buildings, as well as various housing communities in Birmingham, AL. The following are key elements typically included in a general building repair scope of work: Preliminary Assessment o Upon notification, an inspection of the building may be required to identify existing damage, potential hazards, and areas requiring repair. Contractors are advised to field verify conditions before submitting the proposed cost estimate for the task. o HABD may request the Contractor to document the findings from the inspection with photos and a detailed cost proposal. Interior Repairs o Patching and repairing drywall cracks and holes o Repainting walls and ceilings o Replacing damaged flooring (carpet, tile, laminate) o Interior door and window repairs (hinges, seals, weather stripping) o Repair/replace tub surrounds o Paint newly repaired areas o Insulation replacement o ADA modifications (as needed) o Cracks in walls and floors o Waterproofing o Replace/reinforce wall framing o Reinforce weakened beams or supports Exterior Repairs o Retainer walls Sidewalks o ADA modifications (as needed) o Fencing o Repair or replace playground equipment o Facial and Siding repairs and replacement o Gutter cleaning and repair o Exterior painting o Door repairs include, but are not limited to, seals (weather stripping). o Window repairs include, but are not limited to, seals (weather stripping). o Cracks in walls and floors o Waterproofing o Replace/reinforce wall framing o Reinforce weakened beams or supports
