The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: A New construction of a 25,000 sq. ft. HGTC Marine Technology Institute of South Carolina on the Georgetown Campus. The building will support boat building and outboard marine motor technician programs. The building will be conventional steel, masonry, metal wall panels, with aluminum framed storefront & glazed aluminum curtain wall. Roof system will be PVC fully adhered membrane. Interior finishes include wood wall paneling, carpet, porcelain tile, acoustical ceiling system, epoxy flooring, paint & some graphic wallcovering. Residential appliances, exterior sun control devices, metal canopies & exterior screens. Wood doors, hollow metal doors & overhead coiling doors. Enclosed lamination booth & overhead bridge crane. Wet & dry sprinkler systems, HVAC, electrical & plumbing. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than FIVE PERCENT (5%) of the base bid, which must be a bid bond, issued by a bonding company & have the required Power of Attorney Form. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond & Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract sum, issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in South Carolina. To be eligible for consideration, bids must comply with the laws of South Carolina, all conditions of the solicitation, and must be made on the Form SE-330 Lump Sum Bid Form contained in the Project Manual, enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope bearing the name & license number of bidder & marked: "CONSTRUCTION OF GT WORKFORCE TRAINING CENTER" & delivered not later than date & hour mentioned. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or certain portions of a bid as stipulated in the Lump Sum Bid Form, & to waive any formalities and technicalities in bidding, & to award the job in the best interest of the Owner.
