Site work for a water / sewer project in Ecru, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of constructing water distribution system improvements. Bidder shall conduct any necessary Site visits and Subsurface Investigations during normal working hours, and shall not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. Question Deadline 09/11/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. When bidders choose to submit bids electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the TOWN OF ECRU, MISSISSIPPI, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. In the letting of public contracts, preference shall be given to resident contractors, and a nonresident bidder domiciled in a state having laws granting preference to local contractors shall be awarded Mississippi public contracts only on the same basis as the nonresident bidder's state awards contracts to Mississippi contractors bidding under similar circumstances; and resident contractors actually domiciled in Mississippi, be they corporate, individuals, or partnerships, are to be granted preference over nonresidents in awarding of contracts in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the nonresident. When a nonresident contractor submits a bid for a public project, he shall attach thereto a copy of his resident state's current law pertaining to such state's treatment of nonresident contractors. Bids may be held up to 90 days from the date of opening for review of bids and qualifications of bidders prior to Contract award. The Town of Ecru, MS reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
