All times listed are Cameron, LA local time. In order to be considered as a qualified submission, RFQ related documents must be obtained either through WHLC Architecture or Central Bidding. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all submissions. The Project is to be constructed at the site of the previous South Cameron Memorial Hospital in Cameron, LA. SCMH anticipates that the project will consist of the following: o Construction of a new, elevated 2-story hospital to be located at 5360 W. Creole Hwy. Primary elements of the project include but are not limited to public lobby/waiting areas; a 10-patient medical nursing unit, emergency department, imaging and lab services, respiratory therapy, clinic exam rooms/treatment spaces, and associated staff workspaces, patient and staff access and circulation pathways, kitchen and dining area, and physical plant space. o The First Floor is approximately 2,000 square feet of enclosed space (elevator lobbies, etc.) with covered parking below the second-floor level and drives. o The Second Floor is approximately 30,000 square feet. o Exterior site improvements include a new elevated helipad, covered drop-off areas, ground level parking (covered and not covered), support spaces below the hospital, and a dumpster enclosure. Fox-Nesbit Engineering, LLC has prepared this narrative to provide a preliminary description of the structural systems for the above referenced project. The intent of this report is to aid the architect in moving forward with drawing preparation documents for this building and aid with the production of early cost estimates for this project. This narrative is applicable to the following portions of the project: i. Main hospital building, elevated up approximately 12 feet above grade ii. Ramp up to a elevated driveway around hospital with ambulance drop-off and mechanical/generator yard. iii. Elevated Helipad B. The planned location for this new facility is at the intersection of LA Highway 82 and Oliver Rd. in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. i. Latitude 29.80824, Longitude -93.16553. C.
