Renovation of a military facility in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, necessary permits, laboratory tests, reports, equipment, supervision/quality control, and project management required to repair the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) System B106 at the 174th ATKW Hancock Field, Syracuse, NY. The scope includes demolition, recovery, and disposal of existing equipment, as well as delivery and receiving of all new equipment to Building B106. Government equipment shall not be used in cost estimation. Location: Building B106, 174th Attack Wing, Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, 6001 E Molly Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211. Magnitude of the project is Between $100,000 and $250,000. Contract work associated with Repair Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) System B106 shall achieve complete and fully functional fire alarm control system in accordance with the manufacturer, NFPA, and DoD regulations. The contractor shall verify existing conditions prior to installing the new system or ordering new materials. 2.2 Remove the existing Fire Control Instruments 7200 series FACP and associated devices. Existing wire runs are not to be reused. Provide written narrative as to the solution and approach to replacing the FACP and devices with minimal disturbance to the system. Off-site disposal of devices and FACP electronics shall be performed in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Termination blocks are acceptable; wire nuts are not authorized for DoD facility fire alarm systems. 2.3 Testing for full functionality shall occur after are components of the fire alarms system has been replaced, repaired, and inspected. A properly formatted, completed, and signed NFPA inspection report shall be given to the Contracting Officer upon competition of on-site work and prior to the contractor demobilizing from the work site at Hancock Field. 2.4 The new FACP shall be compatible with the Motorola Moscad radio system and the Monaco D21 Alarms Desk that uses the Monaco BT-X radio system. The Installation Fire Chief can determine any loss in alarm point fidelity on a case-by-case basis to meet the compatibility requirements for the alarm desk system. 2.5 Additional details are further described in Section 4.0: DESCRIPTION OF WORK within this SOW. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
