The scope of work generally consists of mobilization of equipment, materials, and personnel to the project site(s). The Contractor shall perform sewer pipe relining in place. No removal or replacement of the existing piping will be performed. Trenching will only be performed where necessary at the discretion of the City and the Engineer. Cutting in certain locations along the various sewer lines shall be performed to insert the liner. The Contractor shall perform a clean out and chemical treatment of roots of the sewer pipe(s) at the City facilities before any relining work is performed with mechanical cleaning tools or a hydrojetter. An epoxy-saturated or resin coated liner shall then be pulled into place from the entrance point (a cleanout to be designated by the City) to the exit point (an alternate cleanout to be designated by the City). Each facility's main sewer line shall be relined extending to the City sanitary sewer main. The City facilities of interest are as follows: Fire Station #5, Communications Building, Costa Mesa City Hall, West Side Police Substation, and Jack Hammet Sports Complex.
