Contractor shall access site using existing access road at intersection of Lake Houston Parkway and Timber Forest Drive Scope of Work of the Contract includes approximately 100 acres of clearing and grubbing within Phase 2, and 84 acres of clearing and grubbing within Phase 3. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a cerfied or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the greatest amount bid, including any and all alternates called for in the Bid Form, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance cerficates within 7 days aer the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor.. The successful bidder receiving the contract award must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) each of the Total Contract price. Each such bond shall be executed by the corporate surety duly authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularies in a Bid not involving price, me or changes in the Work. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owner's judgment will be most advantageous to the Owner and result in the best and most economical compleon of the Project.
