Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The bridge is located on Main Street with limits extend from approximately 230 ft. south to 450 ft. north of the bridge as well as the required WZTC on New York State Route 26. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including but not necessarily limited to the following: Bridge Replacement, approach roadway work, and intersection reconstruction. Contract term: 200 calendar days Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. All work shall be substantially completed within 186 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. Work shall be fully completed within 200 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. All work shall be completed by November 30, 2026. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. The Town of Vestal reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any minor informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Town of Vestal before any award of contract may be made. Receipt of bids by the Town of Vestal shall not be construed as authority to bind the Town.
