Renovation of a municipal facility in Surrey, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Reference Number 0000301107 Question Acceptance Deadline Sep 04, 2025 02:00 PM PDT Pricing Lump sum Cooling tower upgrade by implementing the recommendation from GOC5276704 Study report and creating dedicated drains for cooling tower, into sanitary system. The scope includes, but not limited to the following - please refer to the study report for further details. Relocate the fluid cooler basin drain connection to the low point on the basin to allow full drain down during the cleaning process. This will require removing and capping the existing pipe connection and relocating this pipe connection to the low point, or bottom of the basin. Cap the existing pipe that drops down to the floor below at the roof level, ensure all waterproofing requirements remain. Run new drainage pipework from the basin low point to the funnel floor drain located in the roof mechanical room, Refer to the sketches in Appendix C for more details. Revise fluid cooler drainage to run to the nearest floor drain in the roof mechanical room. Refer to the sketches in Appendix C for more details. Add one (1) LAKOS eTCX basin sweeping system. This system circulates water through jets placed within the fluid cooler basin and helps to dislodge slime build up, preventing the accumulation of bacteria, scale and corrosion. This loop then returns through a filtration system. The basin sweeper will be piped to each fluid cooler basin and is controlled to switch between each unit at a specified amount of time. Refer to the sketches in Appendix C for more details. Provide solutions for the 2nd floor janitor sink drainage problem with a dedicated drain to prevent flooding. The design must adhere to the requirements of the PSPC MD15161 Control of Legionella in Mechanical Systems Standard, including bacterial testing requirements outlined in section 3.3 and 3.4 if the towers need to be shut down to complete the work. The site-specific Legionella Bacteria Control Management Plan must be re-assessed and formally updated by a mechanical engineer as part of the design for this project. Consultant is required to update the site-specific legionella bacteria control management plan as part of the design of this project by a qualified person and signed off by a Professional Engineer.
