Mountain View Water Treatment Plant a. Filters and Miscellaneous Improvements including but not limited to the following: 1) Remove existing filter media, underdrain, underlayment, and filter troughs in Filters 2 through 4 and replace with new filter media, underdrain, underlayment, and filter troughs. 2) Remove filter surface wash system. 3) Selective concrete demolition in the filters for preparation of filter floor for installation of new underdrain and media. 4) Testing of existing filter underdrain system for asbestos and removal and disposal of material with asbestos in accordance with local and state regulations. 5) Filter air wash system including air piping, fittings, manual valves, pneumatically actuated control valves, airflow sensor, and blowers. Blowers for air wash system to be located outside of the water treatment plant. Concrete blower pad, sidewalk, security fencing, and grading and seeding are included as part of the Filter air wash system. 6) Filter media, underdrain, underlayment, filter troughs, and air wash system Preprocured as part of Equipment Procurement Packages #2 and #3.
