Renovation of a detention facility in Yuma, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Any agreement that may result from this request for proposals (RFP) must provide for the complete design and construction of the project on a "turn-key" basis. The term "turn-key" is intended to express the Owner's wish to receive pricing and a finished product that comprehensively includes all project costs and services. Contractors are instructed not to make any site visits without prior approval from Yuma County. An unscheduled site visit may result in the rejection of your company's bid. Should you have any questions regarding this project please address them to the bid email in Attachment A with the project number and name as the subject. Each proposal shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications and contract documents, and shall be set forth and submitted on the Proposal documents included in this RFP. The Proposal documents may be removed from the RFP and submitted independently. Yuma County is not responsible for proposal or proposal information obtained from entities other than Yuma County. The proposer is responsible for obtaining correct and complete proposal or proposal documents. Yuma County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any informality in a proposal. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or Proposal bond, with a properly executed Power of Attorney attached, in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the proposal payable without condition to the County. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Should the Contractor fail to substantially complete the work under this contract by the project completion deadline in Attachment A, then the Contractor shall pay Yuma County, Arizona, liquidated damages of as outlined in Table 108-1 of the MAG Uniform Standard Specifications and Details shown below, until the work is substantially complete. No submitter may withdraw their proposal for a period of fifty (50) days after opening and reading of the proposals. Yuma County is an equal opportunity employer and minority business enterprises and women's business enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals. After the proposals are reviewed, Yuma County and the proposer will follow the general process below throughout the life of the project until the project is closed by final payment.
