Renovation of an educational facility in Independence, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The scope of work shall specifically include, yet not be limited to the following items for the entire set of documents: Provide all labor, material & equipment necessary to complete the mechanical work including division 23 in its entirety. Doors must be secured by the end of each work day. Provide engineering and layout as required to complete this work. This project is not tax exempt. Include all applicable taxes within your proposal. Provide mechanical demolition as indicated. Provide removal of existing units from roof and legal disposal offsite. Existing concrete curbs and plenum curbs to remain where shown. Disconnect, cap, and make safe all connections to existing equipment being demolished. Provide complete removal of mechanical equipment and reclamation of refrigerants. All shutdowns will be authorized by the CM/Owner and will require a 72 hour notice and will occur when the building is unoccupied. Provide all temperature controls including all raceways, wiring, devices, terminations, and power as required for the temperature controls scope of work. Provide refrigerant detection units to alarm if levels rise above allowable limits. Provide testing and balancing as indicated. Provide pre-demolition readings as indicated. Provide readings to CM prior to demolition. Coordinate and obtain all required tests, inspections, permits and fees. Provide system drainage, cleaning, flushing, refilling, and chemical treatment. Store and supplement glycol. Provide all connections from existing building to new custom air-handling units. Including but not limited to, gas piping, sanitary piping, hydronic piping, ductwork, domestic water piping. Provide condensate piping from unit to nearest roof drain. Provide boiler venting outside of CAHU-2. Provide rigging, lifting, and setting of new units on existing curbs. Coordinate with unit manufacturer during this process. Crane plan to be provided 1 month ahead of scheduled lift for review by CM and engineers. Provide fire/smoke seals for all penetrations created by this contractors work. Each seal shall provide 1 hour rating unless otherwise indicated. Exterior wall penetrations shall be watertight. Furnish variable frequency controllers. Power to be provided by others. Provide functional verification of the HVAC system including commissioning with a 3rd party commissioning agent. Provide all related work such as pipe and duct insulation, pipe and duct identification, markers, valves tags, outside of limits of custom unit. 19. Provide daily clean up, removal, and legal disposal of all debris and excess material. 20. Provide all warranty and closeout documents required. Each proposal must be submitted electronically through preconsuite or as a hardcopy in duplicate on the forms furnished in the project manual and must be completed in full. The proposal shall be sealed in an opaque envelope and marked with the name of the bidder and the project name. Proposals are to be addressed and delivered to: clarkston community schools 2022 bond projects - clarkston high school - bid package #1 - mechanical attn: wes goodman 6389 clarkston road clarkston, mi 48346 Question Deadline 09/02/2025 Should a bidder find discrepancies or ambiguities in, or omissions from the Contract Documents, or should it be in doubt as to their true meaning, it shall notify the Architect or Construction Manager A bid bond executed by a treasury listed surety company acceptable to clarkston community schools or a cashier's check in the amount of at least 5% of the sum of the proposal payable to clarkston community schools shall be submitted with each proposal over $30,512. Cashier's checks must be delivered to clarkston community schools at the address above prior to the bid opening for bids submitted electronically that are utilizing a cashier's check for bid security. All proposals shall be firm for a period of sixty (60) days. Proposals that do not have the proper bid security will not be read. Cashiers checks must be delivered to Clarkston Community Schools prior to the bid opening for bids submitted electronically that are utilizing a cashiers check for bid security. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond by a treasury listed surety in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the bond shall be included in each proposal. The board of education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part and to waive any informality or irregularity therein, or to award the contract to other than the low bidder, in its sole discretion. Clarkston community schools reserve the right to accept that bid which in its opinion, is in the best interest of the owner.
