Renovation of a military facility in Apex, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The requirement is for the installation of an integrated access control and video entry system to monitor and control three entry points: front entrance (double doors), rear entrance (double doors), and warehouse door (single swing door). The system must support CAC authentication, video verification, magnetic locking, and remote unlocking. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, transportation, supervision, and equipment necessary to install, configure, and test the system. This includes magnetic locks for all doors, a hardwired video entry station with doorbell and camera at the main entrance, a separate camera and monitor for the warehouse door, and a secondary monitor in the Security Office. A laptop with access control software will be provided for programming and administration. Cabling must be neatly routed--concealed above ceiling tiles in administrative areas and in exposed conduit in warehouse areas. All components must be hardwired (non-Wi-Fi), compatible with CAC/PIV credentials, and capable of integrating with existing DoD CAC infrastructure. Work must be completed during regular duty hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, using products from a government-approved list. Deliverables include a programming laptop, head end and readers, server and software, RoHS-compliant card readers and peripherals with life safety power supply, door hardware and installation materials, three magnetic locks, three sensors, three push-to-exit buttons, a door entry system with camera, one 7" video monitor with power supply, one 7" touchscreen monitor, and two adjustable desk stands. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
