1.The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo ("MONUSCO") has requirements for borehole (water well) drilling and production services at the following locations ( field offices) and their respective Area of Responsibility (AOR): (1) Beni (Lot:1), (2) Bunia (Lot:2), (3) Bukavu (lot:3) (4) Goma (lot:4) and (5) Kinshasa (lot:5) in DRC. In this regard, it is being planned to outsource the borehole drilling and construction services to the private sector through a service contract. The area of responsibilities includes different military camps like Temporary Operation Bases (TOBs), Permanent Operation Bases (POBs), etc. and civilian camps managed by these field offices.. 2. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and intends to issue Request for Proposal to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. A detailed Statement of Works (SOW) will be provided to companies shortlisted for receipt of the (RFP) documents. Bidders are expected to register in Level 1 in the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) at the time of contract award. 3. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid. 4. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (RFP) documents MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the deadline indicated below.
