Renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.

HVAC improvements include installation of three 90 TON Packaged Gas/Dx Rooftop units for the main warehouse area in Building 415. New ductwork with insulation will be installed for Rooftop unit. Gas and Electrical utilities will be extended to new HVAC UNITS. A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete and operational mechanical system as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. B. Installation of equipment that has not been specifically detailed in the Drawings shall be installed per that equipment manufacturer's recommended installation instructions or industry Standard Methods. All hardware and materials required for said equipment installation shall be included in the bid price. A. This Section includes rectangular and round, metal ducts for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems in pressure classes from minus 2 inches to plus 10 inches water gauge. B. DUCT SIZES INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS INDICATE CLEAR INSIDE DIMENSION WITH OR WITHOUT DUCT LINER. INCREASE ACTUAL DUCT SIZE, THE LINER'S WIDTH, WHEN LINER IS USED. C. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY DUCT TRANSITIONS TO AIR HANDLING EQUIPMENT OPENINGS WHETHER INDICATED OR NOT ON THE DRAWINGS. D. A ductwork/sheet metal Contractor shall perform the work specified herein. See Quality Assurance paragraph below for requirements. E. Absolutely no fiberglass ductboard is allowed for this project. Any mention of fiberglass through the specifications refers to resin fiberglass plastic duct for corrosion prone areas. F. Existing duct hangers shall not be used for new work under any circumstances. All ductwork shall receive new hangers. A. This Section includes the following: 1. Manual volume control dampers. 2. Turning vanes. 3. Duct-mounted access doors and panels. 4. Flexible connectors. 5. Flexible ducts. 6. Accessories hardware. A. Work included in this section of the Specifications includes the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, approvals, utility connection fees, excavation, backfill, and other equipment and services necessary to install the electrical system as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified herein. B. It also includes the connection of all equipment included in this Contract but furnished by other contractors or suppliers. C. It is the general intent that all motors shall be furnished with the particular object of equipment it drives, except where a new motor is to be provided for an item of existing equipment (a replacement motor), then it shall be provided under this Division of the Specifications. D. The Contractor shall furnish and install all conduit, wire, safety switches and miscellaneous material to make all electrical connections to all items of equipment or wiring devices except as otherwise specified. E. Equipment connections shall be made with flexible or rigid conduit as required. Controllers for motors, safety switches, and all control, protective and signal devices for motor circuits, except where such apparatus is furnished mounted and connected integrally with the motor driven equipment, shall be installed, connected and left in operating condition. The number and size of conductors between motors and control or protective apparatus shall be as required to obtain the operation described in these Specifications, and/or by the Contract Documents, and/or as shown in manufacturer furnished Engineer reviewed Shop Drawings. F. All devices and items of electrical equipment, including those shown on the Contract Drawings but not specifically mentioned in the Specifications or those mentioned in the Specifications but not shown on the Contract Drawings, are to be furnished under this section of the Specifications. Any such device or item of equipment, if not defined in quality, shall be equal to similar equipment and/or devices specified herein. G. All devices and items of equipment mentioned in this section of the Specifications whether electrical or not or whether furnished under this or other Division of the Specifications, shall be installed under this Division of the Specifications, unless specifically indicated otherwise. H. Where wiring diagrams are not shown on the Contract Drawings, they are to be provided by the supplier of the equipment served and such diagrams shall be adhered to except as herein modified. A. The underground power distribution system shall be installed in accordance with NEC and NESC requirements, and as written herein and as shown on Contract Drawings. For further information on components/installation not addressed in this article, refer to other sections of this Division, and the Contract Drawings. B. Ends of conduits shall be sealed where they enter buildings at service equipment and empty (spare) conduits shall be capped at both ends. Spare conduits shall extend 5 feet from buildings or structures unless otherwise shown on the Contract Drawings. A. All wire and cable shall conform to the latest requirements of the NEC and shall meet all ASTM/UL specifications. Wire and cable shall be new; shall have size, grade of insulation, voltage rating and manufacturer's name permanently marked on the outer covering at regular intervals. Complete descriptive literature shall be submitted to the Engineer for review and acceptance prior to installation. B. Building wire #12 - #1 shall be applied based on a 60 degree Celsius temperature rise. Building wire larger than #1 may be applied at its 75 degree Celsius temperature rise. A. This section of the Technical Specifications includes all raceways for accommodation of electrical conductors, communications conductors, sleeves for underground electrical installations, conduit stubs for future installations, fittings and accessories. B. Prior to any work being done there shall be a raceway pre-installation meeting attended by General Contractor, Electrical Sub Contractor, Architect, and Engineer to carefully review these Specifications. C. All raceways and fittings shall be painted to match existing or surrounding surfaces except in mechanical spaces. A. The Contractor shall furnish and install all switchboards (switchgear) as specified herein and as shown on the Contract Drawings. All switchboards (switchgear) shall be UL listed. B. The Contractor shall furnish a power system study as specified herein. A. This section of the Technical Specifications includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for the installation of all lighting and distribution panelboards as hereinafter specified and as shown on the Contract Drawings. B. The panelboards for installation under this Contract shall be selected from the following types with the panel voltage and main sizes the determining factors. All panelboards shall be by the same manufacturer. C. Circuit breakers of size and type shown on Contract Drawings and described herein shall be provided with the panelboards. CIRCUIT ASSIGNMENTS NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS MUST MATCH CIRCUIT ASSIGNMENTS IN ALL PANELBOARDS, AND MUST BE SHOWN IN SHOP DRAWINGS. Addendum #1 has been issued as of 8-28-2025.
