Project No: SEG - 24-442, 08:15982 Mooresville's Willow Valley Park is located at 216 E. McLelland Ave. Revitalization to include: Construction and/or installation including project management, coordination, scheduling, staking & technical layout, site clearing/grubbing/site preparation, selective demolition, erosion control including pond conversion, earthwork/grading & drainage, storm sewer/storm drainage, storm water pond/water quality pond, sanitary sewer service, water service, utilities connections, park restroom building(s), park pavilion, park building(s) with mechanical/electrical/power, sport court renovation, concrete pavement, asphalt pavement, pedestrian walking trails, retaining wall(s), fencing, landscaping, site furnishings and ancillary site/utility. Bid Security - Bid Security - A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the contract sum must be submitted with each bid. The bid security will be in the form of cash, a cashier's check or a certified check from a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation made payable to the order of the Town of Mooresville. In lieu of making a cash deposit, the bidder may submit a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed in North Carolina to execute such bonds. Contractor's License - Bidders will comply with all applicable laws regulating the practice of General Contracting as required by the General Statutes of North Carolina which requires the Bidder to be licensed by the North Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors when bidding on any project where the bid is $30,000 or more. The Bidder will indicate his North Carolina General Contractor's License Number, Classification(s), and Limits in the space provided on the signature page of the proposal. The Town of Mooresville requires that all Contractors performing landscaping work be registered with N.C. Landscape Contractors Registration Board in accordance with chapter 89-D of the N C General Statutes. Drug Free Workplace - The Town has adopted a policy requiring Town construction and service Contractors to provide a drug-free workplace in the performance of any Town contract. The Contractor further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $1,000.00 for each consecutive calendar day that the CONTRACTOR fails to complete the WORK indicated, by this special provision. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided in the Project Manual. The form shall be accompanied by the Bid Bond (if applicable). All bids will be placed in a sealed envelope having the Bidder's name, address, North Carolina General Contractor's License Number, and the statement "BID FOR WILLOW VALLEY PARK REVITALIZATION DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 9/23/25 AT 1:00 P.M.".
