The following minority participation goals for public works Tracts are in effect for this contract: (1)ten (10) percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performed by minority business enterprises if subcontracting opportunities are available and/or ten (10) percent of the total dollar amount of the contract should be for the purchase of goods, materials, and equipment to be used for the public works project from minority business enterprises with the ten (10) percent goal being met separately or in combination. (2)eighteen percent (18%) of the total hours worked should be a11 performed by minority workers contractors shall provide evidence of meeting the city's mi- nority participation goals prior to the award of this project and prior to all payments made for work completed or provide the city Of decatur documentation on their good faith effort to comply with participation goals. Required e information and documentation is included in the project manual and is to be submitted with the proposal. The council of the city of decatur, illinois reserves the right to accept, renegotiate or reject anymore all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instruction for bidders. The council further reserves the right to award the contract to the bidder which, in the opinion of council, will best serve the public interest, and the criteria listed herein shall be subordinate to the discretion of council with regard there to.
